Accessory Review: Pama Plug N Go Power Portable Charger

So you have the latest smartphone, with cool new features and tons of processing power? Cool. It runs your favorite OS? Great. Does it have enough juice to last a day? Yes? No, right. It’s always irritating when your smartphone doesn’t last a day. In fact, there are some phones out there, whose batteries would run out within a couple of hours. Yeah, all I do is try some apps and play a couple of games, but 2 hours is paltry.

So what do you do when that happens? Of course, you run searching a power outlet, and when that happens, you cannot use your smartphone, or if you want to, you’ll have to remain in that place until it gets charged.

Well, I don’t have to, anymore. Because this portable charger packs in a lot of power. Enough to make my phone last 3 cycles. It’s the Pama Plug N Go Power portable charger, coming with a variety of pins, so you know, most of the phones out there can be hooked up with this charger, and your power woes will poof away. Our friends at MobileFun were kind enough to send us one our way to review it!

The Pama Plug N Go charger comes with a 4,000 mAh battery, a USB cable, a mains charger, and 9 different pins, so almost all of the gadgets can be charged – from phones, to tablets and cameras.

It’s all really simple – you connect the USB cable to the portable charger, select the pin required, put it in the USB cable and connect it to your phone. After you’re done with this, switch on the charger and voila! Oh, you will also be able to check the charge level on the portable charger – there are 4 LEDs which will let you know about the status. All you have to do is, press the button to the LEDs’ side. It seems a bit cumbersome, but it’s a power-saving feature, actually – if the LEDs remain lit all through, it will drain power. So yeah.

Coming to the looks of the device – it’s quite portable. Shorter than my HTC HD7, for that matter, but thicker.

I’ve already mentioned how to charge your devices, earlier. And like I said, the Pama Plug N Go Portable charger comes with a 4,000 mAh battery. If you’re going to charge off a USB cable connected to your PC, it’s going to take considerable amount of time to charge, since the capacity is quite high. But you also get a mains charger with this, so that should save you some time. It’s neat looking, and overall, the portable charger and the USB cable, together with the pins, are of good quality. And it’s easy to carry them around, but you’re going to have to carry around at least one pin, the provided USB cable and the portable charger with you.

Conclusion

Overall, I really love this charger. What it means is, I no longer have to use an extension box to connect my devices’ chargers to, at nights. I can instead use this Pama charger, and still use my phone without having to adjust according to the extension box’s placement. Less clutter, lots of power. Perfect.

And oh, if your iPad’s battery doesn’t last a day, you can check them chargers too.
