Face SDK by Microsoft released to developers
Microsoft Research which has released a few apps on the Face program – Face Mask, Face Touch and Face Swap is now making the SDK available to developers to use and integrate into their app on the Windows Phone.
However since it comes from Microsoft Research, there’s always a deeper meaning to the app. These proof of concept apps have been designed on Face program. Today, Microsoft Research is offering the Face SDK for download.
The SDK will hopefully allow for greater application and implementation of this program into Windows Phones, resulting in more than just swapping a face
Guess It’s not too far when our Windows Phone also will unlock itself like the Android and Nokia (Symbian) phones do.
Here’s how MS Research describes Face SDK -
The Microsoft Face SDK provides many state-of-the-art algorithms to process face images, such as face detection, alignment, tracking, and cartooning. The SDK makes it easy for developers to create interesting, face-related Windows Phone applications.
The SDK can be downloaded directly via this link.
