Google launches the Nexus tablet!
Google pulled the curtains of its long awaited Nexus tablet here at the Google I/O 2012 event happening in the US. The tablet made by Asus. The specs were already leaked and we already told you what it’d have.
This is Google’s first ‘Nexus’ branded tablet and is the first Nexus made by Asus. The tablet which is primarily aimed towards the emerging threat of Kindle Fire and also as a beacon for other manufacturers making Android tablets bears the following specs -
- 7-inch 1280×800 IPS Display
- Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
- 1.3GHz Quad-Core Tegra 3 CPU
- 12 core GPU
- Front Camera
- 9 Hours playback in HD, 300 hours standby
- Wi-Fi a/b/g/n
- NFC (Android Beam)
- 340 gms.
The device will be available from today (in US, Canada, UK and Australia) for $199 with a $25 store credit and will come with Transformers: Dark of The Moon, Bourne Dominion (book) and lots more. The devices will start shipping Mid-July.
