HTC India makes One S available in India, powered by a 1.7Ghz processor

HTC India has put up the One S on its website and it’s also available on various online shopping portals. Infibeam has revealed that is charging Rs.36,157 for the One S and thereby giving online shoppers an 8% discount (i.e. Rs. 3,042). While Saholic is retailing the phone for Rs. 33,000. Either ways the phone it seems is officially available for purchase.

Though there is a bit of confusion in the specs. While HTC India is reporting that the phone has a 1.7GHz processor (dual core) which means it is the S3 processor and not the S4, the two online retailers are showing the 1.5GHz processor (dual core) which is better known as the S4. The S4 processor is the newer processor that’s coming on a lot of phones and this is what the global version also comes outfitted with.

It’s definitely confusing right here, but to be on the safe side I’d go with HTC India’s version.
