HTC prepping a Galaxy Note Rival, to be called One XXL

I’ll give it to you that the name sounds down right funny.

It seems that HTC is indeed planning an Galaxy Note (or Note 2 rival) and some of the specs got leaked out it seems. SmartDroid, a German blog seems to have caught wind of it and has splayed the details out for everyone to drool at.

From the looks of the specs and an odd screenshot of the hardware, it does seem like a potent product that will come out soon from HTC later this year.

From the screenshot we can deduce the following bits -

  • Quad core processor
  • 2GB RAM
  • 4.7″ screen with 720p resolution
  • 8MP camera
  • 1.8MP front facing camera
  • WiFi a/b/g/n support

It is also been speculated that the device will have a Qualcomm S4 quad core variant rather than a Tegra 3 heart, the solution is expected to be the APQ8064 1.6GHz per core, Krait class, four cores. The SoC will also allow communication over LTE waves.

The GPU has been stated to be an Adreno 350, but SmartDroid thinks it might be a little exaggerated and is actually the Adreno 320.
