LG Optimus Black Launched in India
LG today has officially launched another smartphone under its popular Optimus series
the LG Optimus Black. The phone is currently priced at Rs 19990 which makes it yet
another competitor for Apple iPhone 3GS and Samsung Nexus S in the Indian market.

Optimus Black runs on Android 2.2 Froyo version out of the box but is expected to be
bumped with Gingerbread love officially in a couple of weeks time. This smarty comes with
‘Nova’ clear display which LG claims to be the best and brightest displays available out there
in the smartphone arena. On the rear there is a 5 Megapixel camera and a front facing 2 megapixel
camera has also been provided to support video calling. Under the hood there sits an A8 ARM
Cortex processor and 512MB of RAM. The screen boasts of 480×800 resolution with IPS display
technology used. The phone will be powered by a 1500 mAh battery which is expected to last
about 6-7 hours of talktime. What do you think of this yet another beauty from LG? Can it take
on the likes of Nexus S and Galaxy i9003 or will it flop?
