Nokia 5230, 5233 and 5235 Xpressmusic Series receive Firmware Updates

Nokia’s Mid-Range XpressMusic phones 5230, 5233 and 5235 have received firmware updates. The latest version is 40.0.003 and 40.6.033 in-case of 5335.

Though 5230, 5235 and 5233 come with UDP (User Data Preservation), its advised that you take a back-up of all your data before updating your device. You can update your device using OTA (Over-The-Air) feature, or via Nokia’s Software Updater or the Latest Ovi Suite application to update your device on your windows PC.

Changelog:

  • Nokia 5233: unable to create new profile, once the handset is factory reset model 5233
  • Nokia 5230: N5230 cannot auto update on stock webpage
  • Nokia 5230: Cu cannot transfer music from PC to the device
  • Network Reconnection request fails in flash after two three attempts.
  • High current consumption when Maps is in foreground and background, drains battery quickly
