Nokia Drive Coming To All Windows Phone 8 Devices

Jun 21st, 2012No Comments

One of the key benefits of getting a Nokia Lumia device has been the navigation stuff that comes for free. Nokia Maps, Nokia Drive are a couple of examples, which Nokia’s providing to its Lumia customers for no charge at all. Well, that advantage is now going away, since Nokia is making its Drive app available for other Windows Phones as well, beginning from Windows Phone 8 Apollo.

Microsoft had revealed some bits of Windows Phone 8 yesterday, and I’d detailed it here. A new start screen, improved hardware, improved camera etc are among the new things coming in the next version of Windows Phone, and now that Nokia Drive will be available to every Windows Phone running Apollo, things are getting exciting for the entire ecosystem as a whole.
