Rumor Suggests That Windows Phone 8 Will Get Native Screenshot Support
This is one feature every Windows Phone fan may like. WPDang is saying that Microsoft will bring native screenshot feature to the next version of Windows Phone, also known as Apollo.
Oh yes, you can take screenshots on your Windows Phone even now, but that’s only possible if you’ve dev-unlocked the phone. Normal users, like you and me, it’s not possible for us, technically. It’s possible only for devs, at this moment. But if this rumor turns out to be true, we all can take screenshots, going forward.
This will be a great addition, to be honest. I’ve always rued how I cannot do something as simple as this, without unlocking my phone, and this sounds great to me. But really, how difficult could it have been to implement? I don’t get the reason behind not implementing it already, and it’ll always continue to puzzle me.
The blog also notes that it may make its way on to Windows Phone 7.8 too, so I’ll be keeping an eye out for that as well.
