Samsung Galaxy Vibrant customers can't dial 911 if on CynogenMod
CynogenMod, the most loved custom firmware has an issue with the Samsung Galaxy Vibrant phone.
The developers responsible for the Vibrant (Galaxy S variant) have just said that they are unable to enable ’911′ support on the firmware for that phone and as a result are dropping support for it. The developer team has stated that they have been unable to fix this rather persistent bug. The team has apparently tried all means to resolve the issue with open source code, but have been unsuccessful.
The developer team has suggested that this odd impasse can be resolved only if Samsung will show them the Source Code.
This is no doubt going to leave a lot of Vibrant users on the CM7 mod very helpless. The only hope now lies in Samsung sharing the Source Code, after all the CynogenMod founder is now officially a Samsung employee.
